Although he hadn’t asked for her forgiveness so far, she had started contemplating about it. In her attempt to hold on to him she had lowered her standard in the past.
Now, she is reflecting on redeeming herself by forgiving him for not just ripping her heart apart but also her soul.
This forgiveness doesn’t mean reconciliation with him nor does it indicate his re-entry in her heart space. She wants to forgive him to let go of him from her life; forever.
