On the surface, it was the magnetism of passion and attention that drew her towards him. But, on a deeper level, the need to talk and be heard to her heart’s content made her align her path with his.
Alas, their interest levels were reciprocating, but the talking and listening weren’t.
He made an entry in her life when chaotic thoughts, complex feelings and overwhelming emotions were perpetually cramming her head-space.
The growing attachment between them and his enticing approach gave her the deceptive likelihood of him being the one in whom she can confide.
When things started going sour between them he became silent, awfully silent.
With this one, he had hit her where it hurt the most. Every attempt to make him speak was met with silence – a tool sufficient to rip her heart out. Now, she found herself standing between the dead silence and her cluttered mental monologue.
Her heart had put blinders on her and wasn’t letting her spot his lack of interest in learning about her on a deeper level. But, a major part of the problem was not him but her own self that should have shrunk her external talking with others and internal talking with herself.
