Ironically, it was her seemingly bad habit of doing things fast that sped up her healing and got her back on track.
While she was taking her sweet time to soak up the pain of heartbreak her phone buzzed with the reminder of booking a gallery for the art show she had been dreaming about for years.
She had set this reminder six months ago with the hope of being halfway through the groundwork of her dream but instead, her time was spent sulking.
This hit her with the realisation about how fast time is fleeting and turned out to be one of the key elements of her recovery.
Living life in high gear and checking off maximum boxes for the day was the routine for her.
She had witnessed her ‘me time’ getting compromised regularly at the hand of her forever busy existence. It was his entry in her life that had coerced her to slow down and live in the moment.
She had wired herself in a way where every hour of the day she had something or the other to wrap up.
The fast-track life had taken a toll on her overall well-being and made her miss out on some aspects of life.
That’s why after the spilt when she slowed down her pace she felt much better.
But, it was the understanding of fleeting time that dragged her away from his memories and got her closer to her dream project. This triggered her into thinking that if we all realise the nature of passing (and limited) time, won’t we automatically start living in the moment rather than getting bogged down with the past.
